What you need to know
Webitof uses ₹2,00,000+ as an indicative starting reference for a SaaS MVP. The real estimate depends on user roles, tenant model, subscription and billing requirements, core workflow depth, integrations, analytics, security, deployment and whether web, mobile and admin applications are all required at launch.
An MVP is a complete learning system, not a feature pile
A useful MVP lets a defined customer complete one valuable job, enables the operator to support that customer and captures enough evidence to decide what to build next. Authentication without onboarding, or screens without administration and error handling, may look complete in a demo but fail in a pilot.
Define the target user, urgent problem, success event and assumptions to validate. Then include only the workflow required to reach that event reliably.
- Customer onboarding and access
- One end-to-end value workflow
- Admin visibility and support controls
- Essential notifications or integrations
- Usage and error insight for the product team
Cost drivers buyers often miss
Tenant isolation, permissions, billing states, data export, audit history and deployment automation are mostly invisible in mockups, yet they determine whether the SaaS can support real customers. Adding them late can force architectural rework.
A B2B SaaS with organizations, teams and role levels is different from a single-user consumer app even if both have the same number of screens.
| Area | Lower-complexity MVP | Higher-complexity MVP |
|---|---|---|
| Users | Single role or simple account | Organizations, teams and granular roles |
| Billing | Manual pilot or one plan | Trials, upgrades, invoices and payment events |
| Data | Simple records | Tenant-specific rules, imports, exports and audit |
| Integrations | None or one stable API | Multiple providers and event synchronization |
| Platforms | Responsive web application | Web, admin and native/cross-platform mobile |
Architecture decisions to make before development
Choose how tenants are identified and isolated, which actions require authorization, where files are stored, how background jobs run and how production changes are deployed. The first version need not be over-engineered, but it must avoid choices that make safe customer separation impossible.
Operational basics include backups, environment separation, error monitoring and a repeatable release process.
- Tenant and user model
- Permission policy
- API and integration boundary
- Cloud environments and backups
- Logging, monitoring and deployment workflow
A phased SaaS budget
Separate discovery/prototype, MVP build, pilot hardening and scale improvements. A founder can then decide which investments are required before the first pilot and which depend on validated demand.
Webitof can scope a SaaS MVP after reviewing workflows, users and rollout assumptions. Third-party subscriptions, cloud usage and payment fees should be presented separately.
